Nature and the space that it occupies is my canvas. I celebrate the potent influences of the natural environment. I revel in a certain intimacy between color and nature, which becomes the dominating narrative of my work. By combining organic and geometric forms and shapes with elements that are natural, I present them in concert to create visual statements that redefine my landscape concept. To this end, my work explores the loose and disordered as well as the organized, geometric and repeated. My paintings are to be understood as silent tributes that focus upon a deep respect for the environment. It is not my intention to glorify or inundate nature, but to invite question and interaction while leaving contemplation and judgment to the viewer.
